Identifying fuel system parts

I'm still learning my way around the California 280SE I picked up a couple of weeks ago.  I located the fuel accumulator up above the fuel pump, but what is the circular thing with 3 hose connections that sits on the input side of the fuel pump?  The factory manuals call it a "suction damper" or "intake damper," but I don't find any part with that name at any of my usual parts suppliers.  Does anyone have a part number for this thing?

The manual also shows a "fuel pressure damper" that I haven't located yet.  It looks like it would be in the engine compartment.

And I'm still looking for the WUR.  Is it under the intake manifold on this engine?

The round can looking thing is indeed a damper.  There should also be a fuel pressure damper at the engine side as well between the WUR and the fuel distributor.

I suggest you buy a Haynes or equiv w/shop manual....there are lots of parts like these that have unfamiliar names and located in odd spots.

I would happily buy a Haynes manual, but there doesn't seem to be one for the 6 cylinder W116.  Any recommendation for a good manual would be appreciated.

Haynes is garbage IMHO.  Get a proper Benz workshop manual.  You can usually find nice used ones on ebay.

Great resource for shop manuals.
