Mechanicals / Re: Euro Headlamps Part ID?

Utn and Classic Center used different guides with different numbers on their guides for the same part. I used Utn's MB part number to confirm with Classic Center and it proved correct.

Relatedly, learned something extremely useful from Jon at Center. Go to Google and the search bar just put in the part number. No spaces. No hyphens. No MB, nothing. It will pull up the part with picture and related info. That's cool.

Upon further investigation, rumb you're right it's 85,86 rubber bushings. After discussion with Classic Center 3 per side and two different sizes and part numbers. One not available through them but apparently available on-line. Question for me remains, how they're supposed to fit through that much smaller hose in reflector flange unless they come in two halves???

From the DIN Survey

000912 008097 10.9 R 8 X 65 DBL 8451-21

Unfortunately my copy with illustrations is missing several pages including the above mentioned part.

I can email anyone that wants a copy of the 2 lists. The files are too large to post here.

Dear all - Can anyone confirm whether the shifter cover in the center console (zebrano in my case) is interchangeable with that of w123 or r107? Been looking for a replacement for my cracked one for over a year now and just came across a nice w123 one in zebrano that has the same options as my car (hazard light and becker fader on the right only).

Thanks so much!

Hi

Yep exactly right, fuel plunger sticks. I have taken the fuel distributor off and had it checked and the guy said it is a bit sticky but should be ok under fuel pressure.I re installed it and left the fuel lines off and without starting I had the ignition on. I then lowered the fuel flap , there is some intermittently pulsing over the fuel flap trying to return to the closed position. Fuel at this fuel flap position ( approx 1mm lowered) just trickles from the fuel line attachment points.

I appreciate you guys taking time to respond.
Any ideas?

Well, the difference in callout numbers was only because Mercedes uses EPC, and I was using a genuine Mercedes parts book.  Regardless, I thought it was important to point out why they were different in case someone else wasn't aware or was curious.  I should have used EPC to save the confusion, but my book was more convenient at the time I replied to your post.  My apologies.

That is the correct retainer.
