Yes I have a Orange 1977 W123 230

Nutz

Nice  8) Manual or auto?

Des

auto
got a few dents and rust popping up here and there, its my everyday car, it goes and goes

yeah I read somewhere that the 230 max speed was 160k's when new, mine has done 337k's and is flat out at 140, doesn't use oil or leak it so I think it is in pretty good condition considering its age.

Nutz

Is that the original engine?

they are a great, nimble little car, you can really throw them around on the road, the grip of the back end is amazing, they just hold and hold on, leaning right over and not giving out.

If you are tall and have the seat back there isn't much room for anyone in the back seats.

280CE in my opinion is the model to have.

unless you live in America where they had the 300CE

Nutz

Did you mean 300CD?  ;D

I had bought a '80 280CE Euro but never did anything to it other than put it in storage.

Also had a '77 280E Euro aka 'Red Baron'

Des

I haven't driven a 300, what do they compare like to a 280E motor? or even a 230?

Nutz

ROFL  ;D Take 2 spark plug wires off of your 230 and then take it for a spin for a good simulation.
