W126 compression test

I want to do a compression test on a 500SE W126, and for that purpose I want to disable the fuel pump and the ignition system.  I've looked at the info on AlldataDIY, and it seems there is a terminal block on the right inner fender, but the photos they provide are so unclear, that I'm not certain.  Anyone have some pointers?

I feel I must disable the ignition to avoid possible damage to the ignitor module.

I would simply unplug the ignition module and possibly the ECU for the test.

I solved tyhis problem and did the compression test.  There is a convenient terminal block near the battery, and one of the wires there is the feed to the solenoid.  I just disconnected the wire, switched off the ignition (disabling the fuel pump and ignitor module), and touched the solenoid wire to the battery +, and the engine cranked.  Convenient.

pretty sure this applies to w116's too

there is also a terminal block under the battery which has a terminal for the starter solenoid. there is on my 6.9 anyway.

Yep, there is.  Just bridge them and it works sweet. :)
