Trying to figure out where I read a story on coupes

It is driving me crazy... sometime last month I read an article about 3 mercedes coupes each from a different generation they where the four cylinder types last one was the 123 (I think) middle the 114 or 115 (I don't really know) and the last was the model before the 114/115. The three cars where featured next to a large white hotel next to some lake.
Anyone know the article I am talking about? What magazine or web page. It really is bothering me that I can't remember... crap here comes the old age :-\

Hehehe.... Robert, I think you are referring to an article on Mercedes-Benz  Classic Magazine from 3/2010, the cars featured are a 250CE (W114) a 230CE (W123) and a 320CE (W124). It could be a coincidence but the cars are pictured at the Grand Hotel Heiligendamn in Germany which is the country's oldest seaside resort, I think there were a few copies left at the Classic Center in Irvine when I was there last month.

Prior to the W114, there wasn't really a " mittel"  klass coupe, since the 220/250/280SE was based on the S-Class W111 platform and going back a little further the 220S/SE Coupe used the " Grosse"  Ponton chassis.

Let me know and I can ask the Classic Center if they still have a copy they can mail to you.

Tks,

Joe

I've got a vague memory of flicking through a magazine recently, may have seen the article you mention. Might have been the English Mercedes Enthusiast.

Joe,
You are right... that was the article I was thinking about. Now the big question is how I came to read this article! I don't have a subscription to this magazine so i must have read it on the internet somewhere but I can't find a link...
Oh well, I guess I'll just go for a drive, I just need to get my car keys from inside the refrigerator ;D
