At age 18 : 1982 Ford Escort XR3 (Mk 3 "Erica" front wheel drive, euro spec).  Got stolen.
At age 19 : 1983 Ford Escort XR3 (Mk 3 "Erica" front wheel drive, euro spec).  Still own it now, 20 years later
At age 22 : 1980 W116 280SE euro, fully loaded.  Had 212000km, now has 550 000km.  I still have it.
At age 30 : 1980 W107 450SL euro, still have it.
At age 32 : 1992 W140 500SEL euro - sold it for scrap 3 years later
At age 33 : 1976 W116 6.9 euro aka "trusty rusty" - very special to me, awaiting time and funds for full resto.
At age 33 : 1978 W116 6.9 AMG - bought in the same month as the other 6.9.   
At age 37 : 1974 350SE euro - present daily driver.

Love those XR3 Escorts - I've always hoped a rare grey-market one would pop up for sale here in the American Midwest - but no luck so far.

They weigh 890kg, and have juuuust shy of 100hp from a 1600cc engine fed from a Weber.  Acceleration is wicked up to about 60km/h.  They're extremely lively in urban conditions.  Mine has a new factory short block in it, and had a bare metal respray.
