P platers...and my gwagen

some may recall my story from mid 07 when a p plater in her dads jeep grand decided to pull out in front of my G wagen on a rainy night...end result was one absolutely hammered jeep (T boned) and a well twisted vintage ARB bull bar long out of production (in addition to G body damage)...after much searching, i finally got all back together (they actually wanted to write off my G due to the cost of parts...seriously!)...on the weekend, i was at the shops and leaving a busy car park in the G behind you guessed it, a P plater in their dads ford wagon.  for some bizarre reason, they thought they were out too far, i saw the reverse lights come on, and before i could honk, he did a squeely and came back into the G...again...f^&*
the damage was very minimal with only paint scrapes to the freshly powder coated bull bar, but i still couldnt believe this...the 17 yr old got out, very apologetic (as one does when they see a nicley painted german car they have just pranged)...with all the hassles involved in getting my bar off, removing cb aeriels and flood lights, getting powder coated and so on - i told him to be a bit more cautious and left it at that...i dont recall myself being so stupid as a youngster

Sorry to hear of your car park exploits Nathan.

I know it's one of your pride and joys - imagine if it was the white 6.9 - doesn't bear thinking about.

You will have to get something more obvious than a large red G-wagon but I can't imagine what it could be. ;D

How is the pitter patter of little feet progressing?

Man I feel for you Nathan.  :(

I can sense a G beast let loose if this happens again.  Like a stolen army tank running amok thru city streets being followed by scores of cop cars and live coverage from TV choppers.  Two incidents like this would drive me nuts.  I reckon "Gelandewagen" is German for "P plate magnet", what can you do.

Get the culprit to come around and do all the hard work removing the offending pieces. That might teach him to be more careful in future !

Bloody P platers.... ::)

;)

I think Oscar's right though unfortunately, it sounds like it's a P plater magnet. :\

Better luck in the future Nathan, hopefully this was the G wagon's last P plater incident  :)
