Topic: Old Mercedes in TV shows

Hello Mercedes people,

I was watching a TV show where the lead actor drives what looks like an 80’s 280E and I do love seeing old Mercedes in shows, however even though the interior shots look fine there was an exterior scene where the car door is closed and it is in no way the sound of an actual Mercedes door closing. They just grabbed any light weight car door closing sound and used that. Sacrilege in my opinion. We notice stuff.

Indeed I think the 116 door closing sound is one of the coolest features.  Anyone who has come for a ride with me comments on it.
If properly set up the door movement is light but then the heavy thud surprises you upon closing.
