Sleeper is exactly correct. I call mine the Granny Car (Black Pearl/Grey) because that is what it looks like to the uneducated eyeball.

Heh 500,
lucky man...those 5 spoke hammer wheels always look good.  did the US 500 get stripped of power cf euro versions?  there is a decent article on 3 versions of the 500 in the recent merc enthusiast (recdent in Australia means its 2 months old cf UK)...your hawaiin backdrops always look good

Those are not Hammer wheels--Hammers were 17x8, and predate the Aero II's in the picture by about 10 years. Different shape, lip, offset, etc. Those are 18's in the picture, but he could easily fit 20x10's with the fender lip of a 500e, with the right offset.

i would love to Find The 3 piece AMG oz rims for the car. If anyone has this past Mercedes enthusiast, The 500e in Red has the wheels i want:)

Beautiful car! I've already told 116Benz about a 300E that could be coming my way, after an exchange of cash....of course. I really do like the W124 series. Recognisably an MB but understated too.

I thought it was a secret..never mind  :-[

It's only a secret where the bank manager is concerned :o

Understated like 500eguy's 500e, right?

Clearly, none of you have ever seen (let alone driven) a 500e, and are stuck in your little 116 world.

You haven't **LIVED** until you've driven a 500e.

Geez Johnny, if only you were In aus last week.

Then again, I'm not sure the 500E has a 5 112 stud pattern.  They still would've looked good on your 450 or SL

1. yes they do (the seller in the auction is clueless)
2. no they wouldn't brah. if you got the ARE replicas of the above AMG wheels (they are made in Japan I believe), those would be appropriate on your 116 or 107. For one thing they are 16x8 (instead of 18") and therefore closer to period aftermarket wheels, and for another they have an 11 offset, as opposed to the much higher offset of these AMG's.

the 500e is 5x112 !!!:) I think these wheels would look perfect!!!
