Nice drawings! It's great when you can draw out how you want the car to look before you build it.

Yeah, had to buy it, so, so, so clean. Ahhh, good to be behind an M110 again. This is how a W123 is supposed to feel.

and now... Ronal R9 on the way to pacify me until I can locate some Pentas.

That 280 looks very original... Nice find. 8)

Thanks, it's a slow process here out in the middle of nowhere, lol.

Mforcer

It's a slow process anywhere!

Looking at your design drawings, it seems to me the treatment of the rear wheel arch would be better suited to a coupe rather than the sedan. I think you will have your work cut out for you to allow for the rear doors to open with the widened wheel arch. But I do have confidence that you can do it!

What are your plans with the bumper strip down the sides of the car?

Lol, bet you can go to an autobreaker and at least see one Mercedes of any sort in your location.

Here's an example and just imagine W123 when you look at it. No boy racer spoiler like that though and overall appearance more refined.
I have many sheets of thick stainless steel at my disposal ;) The car will be cut in no way except for the wheel arches.

Nothing special, just refurbished those Ronal R9's.

Casey

What sort of paint/primer do you use for the grille?  I wish I had the abilities you do!

Nutz

Matte Black Fusion plastic paint.  Gotta get OCD  on prep though. High temp matte black paint on top of Fusion inside headlights.
