I would consult a lawyer, as if you paid for service/restoration it should have been taken care of. It looks like it has been sitting outside, and it has obviously been vandalized. >:(

Get a lawyer, man. People listen when you have an attorney "speaking" for you.

As I understand the situation, it isn't political correctness as lawsuit adverseness.

Apparently, the organization which did (or didn't, depending on which side of the fence you stand) the work on the 6.3 is owned or tightly affiliated with another M100.cc member.

Suggestions of slander or libel were raised, and as the officers of the M100.cc club and forum administrators are not protected from individual suit by any sort of umbrella liability policy, the post was pulled.

I personally don't like what I saw in the posting. As presented, it definitely appears (appeared) that the car was not properly cared for during its time at the repair shop(s), nor were the repairs completed to any sort of satisfactory level.

What was absent from the posting was any sort of rebuttal from the accused. I would have like to heard both sides of the story.

But, as they say, in any conflict, there are 3 sides - your side, my side and the truth.

It is a shame when legalities get in the way of information exchange. While I'll never have a car repaired in Australia, it's still nice to see how things are done elsewhere in the world, and when things don't go right, how they're put to right.

That being said - I respect the directors of the M100 club, and the administrators of the M100.cc forum. They must do as they see best for themselves and the organization.

Just a quick update. The insurance company assessors are finally going to look at it on Tuesday, so I should have some idea of what is likely to happen next week.
