Thanks for the good wishes, the 280 SE won best S class (There were only four though!).  Then best interior overall, then outright winner.  Now time to get it filthy, since it can't enter for another 3 years!

The nicest comments came from people who said how nice it was to see a 4 door car win as opposed to a 230 SL or a 280 SE 3.5 that's had a cheque book restoration.
