Anyone here on the M100 forum? I've been trying to sign up for ages, even sent a couple of emails, just never happens.
Would be good to have access to extra info, but also I have a pretty much complete 6.3 engine I was going to advertise.

It took me 2 years before they acknowledged my multiple attempts to join.

There's no real admin now, that's the problem, plus everyone is busy doing other things these days.

I would try and PM Al and see what he might be able to do

I recently posted on open question on M100 to gauge the collective feeling on what the current state of M100 cars and the site is.  Even though many piped up and said that they are still all alive and kicking, I think the end is nigh for that site unfortunately.  In this day and age you have to have good site functionality, especially if you want to attract a younger audience.  In contrast this site is still going like a Boeing ;D

now now, lets not take a dig at Airbus just because you are over the border!
sadly the m-100 site has been declining over the years.  Ive said it before, it should have remained an open forum for all m-100s, not a number of separate forums for each model which diluted the input.

Ha-ha actually our Quebec crowd love the taxpayer handout to keep Bombardier afloat, so trust me, I am all for Boeing kicking their Airbus buddy's ass 8)  But as long as Air Canada gets "forced" into buying their crap planes, we will carry them.  Oh Canada...
And no, I do not want to "make America great again" either ;D

That site design is terrible. Tons of bugs. But these older guys like it that way and won't change. Oh well.

I agree 100%.  Not to pile on too much, but really it appears they want to have this "exclusive club" image, and really that is the wrong way to go about it IMHO.  They want to keep the stuffy "club" feel and have that translate into a workable online forum, but clearly it is not working, and they are either incapable or unwilling (or both) to change it, so I can see that site going the way of the dodo bird.  I suggested some kind of co-op with W116.org as a possible solution, not sure how workable/acceptable that would be to this site's Admin, or M100's Admin, so maybe it will ruffle more feathers, but sometimes you need to piss folks off to get results ;)

Yes that's what I tend to think Daniel, although they are trying to preserve all the previous posts/info while transitioning to a new forum platform. This is the main reason the old platform is still in use (well past its use-by-date I might add).

Dan, thats actually not a bad idea at all - the m-100 site being part of the w116.org.

bloody bombardier! we had to catch a prop one from Quebec to Toronto in December.  Air Canada really sucks in some respects, they have a monopoly, and they still charge you for bags and meals. that and paying for seat allocation. we had our 5 family members and I had to pay 25 bucks each time for each person to make sure we sat together!

Now that we are nicely off topic 8)  Man, my gripes with Air Canada can fill a book.  Actually we have another carrier here, Westjest, but they are just as piss poor, and both their rates are outrageous.  The one just has to be slightly better than the other at any given point, right!?  It is cheaper to fly to Europe than it is to fly from the West Coast of Canada to East Coast of Canada, can you believe that!?  On the "add-on" fees (straightforward gouging by the way), all North American airlines do this now.  They are making money hand over fist but still cry poor.  I hope they say a prayer every day to the genius who invented "fuel surcharges", man that alone is a never ending gushing, money fountain.
We have a running joke here in Canada about Air Canada: "Air Canada, we are not happy until you're unhappy"...
