Leather colour code question

Hi gents,
A request from the W140 world I now inhabit.

I'm looking to touch up the leather on my S320.  The data plate in the engine bay says the colour is 265.  The data card says it is 265A.  The dye suppliers tell me there are at least two variations on 265: mushroom and cream beige.
I have quizzed local MB dealers with no success.

Any clues on how I can determine which colour I am chasing?  Suppliers will not accept returns, so I want to be sure I can confidently order the correct colour.

Photo attached.

Thanks for your help.  I miss the W116 fellowship!

I wonder if Mercedes codes are for all time? Cause major problems to endlessly reuse them I would have thought even tying them to specific models. Only saying this as the 116 code 265A is Mushroom Leather although 265 is mechanical.

Since my car is mushroom I have learned a tiny  bit. Seem mushroom in particular varied over the years. Same code over many years but they are different colors.

Hi Peter nice to see you back here, as far as I can determine you need colour code 265A mushroom. There was originally 265 and 265A, however 265 was (as stated above) used for engine/chassis nomenclature and hence the colour code was assigned as 265A.

I seen various remarks that creme beige/ and parchement  and mushroom/champignon are the same thing, though I am not totally sold on that idea.  seems mushroom or champignon is the euro name and creme beige is US name.

world upholstry list 265 as parchment, but I got samples and what they call 274 parchment pebble seems closer grain at least. The color seems close to me.

cabrio.de has leder creme and leder creme beige that seem close, they have champignon that I just got a sample that I think seems too dark.  Havent  been able to get near my car to compare yet.

One think I have yet to figure out is what color to use on all the interior trim as I suspect they are a slightly different shade of the base color.

Thanks folks.  Welcome to my nightmare on this.  You'd think it would be simple!  Ordering from Australia makes this a relatively expensive exercise with either no returns or doubling of high cost freight.  I can't understand why costs from USA to Oz are so steep.
Thanks for all your input.
