Lads,

Has anyone sent a car to Europe? If so, can you recommend any particular company you found professional and easy to deal with? And any idea of how much it costs?

Thanks in advance  :)

Back in rather less pleasant days I use to buy this vulgar magazine called 'Street Machine" full of peasant cars, you know the type, Holdens, Fords, Commodores etc...

However in the back pages they had ads for company's that imported cars, may I advise visit your local newsagent, have a flick through the back pages of Street Machines, Unique cars, Classic Cars etc... and see who is advertising for shipping of cars.

Thank you, Des. I shall purchase said magazine, and read it in a dark corner where no one can see me, utilizing only an "Itty Bitty Booklight" to illuminate the necessary pages.

Should I find anything of interest, I shall certainly let you know, Miss Olga. I would never expect someone of your delicate nature to delve into the pages of such laddish vulgarity  :o.

I have some Just Cars & Unique Cars mags right here - will go check them out right now.

Thanks!

I can put you on to the guy that I use for shipping from Europe and the US. He also ships to these regions. Sent me a PM if you haven't found anyone already.

Miss Olga,

I have had a quote for a 20 foot container from Sydney (Botany) to France for $3850. This includes (if I understand correctly) everything except insurance, but all documentation is done, the car is secured in its own container etc; basically, everything that requires doing to get it there safely. You can include parts etc as well, as you have your own container. Sailing is weekly, and quoted time to France is 48 days. The "car people" we spoke to down here maintained that it would be between $5000 and $7000, so this seems quite reasonable. Although, it might be significantly more once you add insurance? Particularly for your RR. I have only relatively inexpensive bangers to ship... ;)
