How would you repair a small tear in door weatherstripping?

On our w202 (1999 c280), my wife's rings have torn a little air-exclusion flap that is part of the great big door weatherstrip assembly.  It seals the gap between the B pillar of the door and the B pillar of the car.

What type of adhesive do you recommend that I could use to repair this little torn bit?  The tear is about 1" long and is a hanging like a little piece of skin... and I'll be darned if I want to buy a $200 weatherstrip for a little piece of flap.

Thoughts?

Id probably try 3m weatherstrip adhesive, maybe you could reinforce it with a thin peice of black nylon cloth? I did that fixing the weather strip on an old carolla

or wonder if you could try a patch from a bike repair kit?

I use tire glue that you get from a hobby shop (for gluing tires onto RC cars). I've glued together several ends this way. You can feather the edges with 3M Windo-Weld.
