MT has now purchased exactly the sort of car he wanted and is stoked! It's a get in and drive anywhere in comfort affair, and I have to say, a very sensible purchase indeed. I suspect he will be busy researching and learning about his new car for some time.

I own a VZ Commodore Wagon as my everyday transport and couldn't be happier.
Everything works, and it is comfortable to drive.
I bought it as an ex sales reps car at 188,000 kms and after two and a half years it has now done 280,000 kms.
No problems with it but before I did a 5,000 km drive last year I changed the water pump and alternator just to be sure.
Of course it had a full service by my mechanic as I'm sick of working on cars now as I've worked on them all my life. (I'm 61).
