Sounds like a challenge!

I'm gonna sharpen my staedtlers.

The 250&280 plus the 350&450 manuals have these cutaways on the front, but they're of a W123 and R107. >:(

The first thing I did after seeing those was type haynes manual 63030 filetype:pdf into Google.  Not much luck.

Oscar your sharpened pencils and OBH's posters and I can smell a business opportunity for you both.

Fantastic - I'll buy one! (I actually thought you were joking but am pleased you're not)

Are you an artist/illustrator/draughtsman/engineer?

Wish I could say all those things but not even close.  I used to draw a bit and still muck around with photoshop from time to time.  (usually for petty amusement of email rounds when people find their heads transplanted on others).  The logo for the forum badge which appears up top left was perhaps my best effort.  Oh and Ugly Betty showing off her cred and our logo ;D . That kind of thing.
But I've been trying unsuccessfully to come up with inspiration for something w116 related.  Cutaway diagrams are a great idea. Not beyond my ability, but a warning, I'm very slow.

Huh, I'd wondered where that logo came from.  Very nice work.

Slow?  There's no rush...I think this would be a great project too.
