That actually looks quitre useful.

could have uses as an atv on a farm, but useless in a war zone. its plastic and tin foil body panels would be penetrated by BB pellets let alone armor piercing rounds.  8)

How does one gain entry? Thru the sunroof?

Good question!

Maybe the doors flip upwards? Still, with that track there it would be one hell of a squeeze.

I'd really like to drive this around down town. These little cars get funny looks sometimes in the US without being modified (although becoming more common). I can only imagine what people would say/do if they saw it done up like this!

What is that "thingie" with a handle on the front for? Winding it up?  ???

Big_Richard

perhaps it opens up at the front like the 1957ish bmw isetta  8)

I wonder if it is equiped with 'Smart' bombs? :P

Martin 280s

I like that, it certainly looks better than the original thing!

I see a Smart on the motorway now and then and shudder to think how the driver copes with the side draft from high-siders, or a headwind for that mater.

Don't mind it at all. But i have a strange soft spot for these cars.   If anything ever happened to the 116 I'd consider a Smart.
Another hard-core one, just down the page a bit http://lukehimself.net/?p=670
