Very funny - but the ease with which that airbag went off is a bit scary.

I have hit Seven Kangaroos in three airbag equipped M-B's SLK230/W211 E320/ and ML270CDI - some quite considerable impacts - with no sign of an airbag (fortunately).

I thought that you had to be travelling at greater than 30 K and have a significant deceleration as well as an impact for one to deploy.

US M-B's are rumoured to have different and larger airbags - does that include more sensitive control systems.
