One of my all time favourites!!!!!!!! If I were a multi millionare id get one. anyone on the forum driven one???

Type17

Yes, I've driven one - the guy who owns the place where I store my 116 has a navy-blue LHD ex-Netherlands one, and I drove it for him recently for a wedding (he was the best man, so wasn't able to drive the bride to the church in it).

It's gorgeous, and huuuge - makes driving a 116 afterwards feel like a VW Golf, and the looks you get - passing a line/queue of say, seven people at a bus stop in my 116, maybe one or two will look at it, but when you're passing in a Grosser, everyone looks  :D

The hydraulic windows and boot/trunk lid are amazing, and more than a little scary - the windows close silently in around one second, and the thunk as they hit the top makes you wonder if body parts could be lost if you weren't careful, and the boot lid closes even faster!

Good write-up in current issue Mercedes Classic and in the next issue of Mercedes-Benz Classic to celebrate 50 years.

How about this 600 Pullman for sale, this history behind this car is amazing. The description in Ebay is worth reading, take a look.\

That one would have such bad juju that I wouldn't even be able to sit in it. *shudder*

I feel the exact same way, I would not even want to own it.

That country (now called the Central African Republic) hasn't changed much at all - it's currently in chaos (again) after whatever government was in place was ousted in a coup earlier this year - BBC News story "African Republic is serious threat to region"

Here's a shot from the news wires of desperate people fleeing the fighting during the coup, in a Nissan Sunny / Pulsar N13 which is so overloaded that the bodyshell has collapsed over the rear suspension  :o

I can see people's point of view about the juju/karma of some Grossers....
