driving across australia...again

so having some spare time over the last week, i finally put together 6 minutes of glory driving the w124 across our country earlier this year. i only just drove back the other way last week!  used about 12L/100km for the trip for the 300te with my dad and brother in a packed car.  this follows up me driving the same trip in the w123 in 2010

nah OS, TJ is always doing sporadic several hundred km drives around WA on a whim, so I'm sure he leads the pack. but i have now driven across australia in 3 different mercs (123, 124, 460) so I'm not sure if anyone can trump this!
now i have to get on about hiring a merc (maybe a 204 OS?) here in germany to get to the 'ring this weekend!

Yes, as of now just over 20,000km in my 6.9 since I got it registered (now at about 244,000km from 223,799), and about 30,000 combined in other MBs.

Seeing people drive these cars as they should be makes my day

I've done ~7500 miles in my 450SE in the last 12 months, and will add another 1400 next week when I drive it across Europe for restoration (because shipping on a trailer is for "concourse queens"). I'm hoping to make a similar video. And then it'll be at least a year before she's back on the road again.

I'm getting quicker, but as you might know, it still takes  few hours to cut al that crap.  I'm working on yesterdays effort (more on that one later!!)'today on the train!
