80 billion kilometers is pretty far.. many, many, many trips to the moon and back and all over it ;)

unfortunately not as far as i'd hoped, our nearest star system, alpha centauri is 41.5 trillion km away.

Would of been nice if the w116 could of traveled to it  ::)

I'm having visions of that top gear episode where they turned a reliant Robin into a spaceship (sort of), can just see my 450 se upright on the launch pad, mission control would be complaining that it's too bloody heavy and there's no way this thing is getting of the ground...

Average distance from the centre of the Earth to moon is around 384,000 km, so that around 104,000 trips there & back (on 80 Billion k's) .

Hopefully in a month or two I get unrestricted use of a 20 * 23m shed with enough spare space for a w116 or two. Maybe like everyone, I'm looking for a okay 6.9 that will have a good home.

Too bloody right !

I have it too, Added a lovely 450SEL to my 450SE and 230TE a few weeks ago and although I cant afford it (Car budget in minus figures At the Mo) I still scan the net and local papers.

Now my 16 yr old Son wants a 116 280SE (SEL?) for his first car instead of a 300E and Jenna STILL wants a 107 hardtop.............

And heres the weird bit, The Missus (Jenna) was caught surveying for a garage extension site a few days ago.

Out with pegs and string-line pacing in the paddock............

A word of warning . . .

If shes not a car enthusiast, she may well be surveying for the construction of your new (alone) sleeping quarters in the yard  8)
