Crap designs

[Martin 280s]

A crap design is the way the BMW K1200LT is put together, it takes me at least 3 hours to change the air filter. First I have to remover the crash bar covers, air wings below the mirros, the side panels, seat subeframe, radio then the fuel tanke to gain acess to the airbox, unscrew four screw then 'voilà' I have access to the lovely little filter!

Another crap design on the bike is the starter solenoid, which burns out under a low current. I've had it happen twice, on my K100 - easy to swap out and then on my K1200LT, the solenoid is inside a fuse/relay box beside the air filter. Once at the solenoid it takes 10 minutes to change!
