http://www.vincelewis.net/smallcar.html

The Peel P50.

He was driving it around through the BBC studio's on the road, bloody hilarious I say

Craig I'm serious mate, these are the sort of cars we need for city driving,
you drive into any major city, into the car parks, it's always the same, 1 person in their fraud falcon or commonwh0re commodore

I love the smart, no not the current model but the old one, 2.5meters long, you can park them face first into the curb, 2 per parking space.

these are the sort of practical cars the world needs,

keep your gas guzzling 600 or 6.9 for the weekends, for drives in the country

micro cars are for the city, cheap to buy, cheap to run, fit twice as many of them into parking spots.

it just makes so much sense!

who cars if you go over a speed hump you will probably topple over and kill yourself.

I agree... Clarkson is a Legend. The Peel P50 is a amazing car... you can take it everywhere you go!!! amazing:)

Did anyone catch that mention of a MB 6.3? Ronnie wood still has his!

Des

I did...although I think Clarkson was confused with the 600, he was like "do you mean the one with the hydrollic seats and boot"

Ronnie was like "yes"

Someone correct me if I am wrong, Styria, Craig? but its only the 600 that has these features.

Clarkson loves old benzes, much like any sensible person he distastes the drop in quality of MB over the years. Which amounts to treason, directors, accountants, advisers...whoever should be swinging from lampposts for such actions.

I'm in love with Jeremy Clarkson.

That's all.

I don't dislike the idea of a micro car - just THAT one ! The Smart car is a great little car. I have driven many of them as rentals in Europe. Strangely, the regulations to park them front on into the kerb in Australia is different in each State - with some permitting it and others not.

Styria - only in the 600 did you get the hydraulic seats, doors, etc.

Des:  Here's another Peel microcar: their two-seater Trident.   Looks like something from The Jetsons!

I wont say what I would normaly say....hence to say No, but Top Gears Hamster is a bit easy on the eyes if your into that sort of thing. Clarkson has the acidic wit though, I still have a chuckle over Capt Slow and his gold grandfather clock (Jag XJ-S)

alrighty then.......back to the Peel P50

;D

I think a ride on lawn mower + an old mini body shell could create the same car.
