Hi Nathan - hot sure if you got my other message so thought I'd re-post.

Some pics of my wheel below - it's definitely a 22mm nut - does that mean it's the small diameter spline?  There's a clearly visible number if that helps.  Would love to buy it from you if it's the right one.

By the way - I'm coming over to Perth on the 28th Nov for a week - would be good to meet some of the WA crew.

Cheers,
Matt.

That looks like the small diameter spline to me.

You lad's are f*kn machines!!!  1 day??!

Oscar, you know freight from perth to the east coast is only about $110 per pallet!!  You could freight that M110 motor no worries.. if Nathan wanted to sell it anyway.

Good buy for a 'single bill' anyway.

Nah.  Usual story, too much on, not enough money etc, etc  Besides, would rather a d-jet one day for future FI upgrade.  Shame I couldn't grab that one in Bungendore a few months back.

Flutes,

I just confirmed part numbers. That is indeed a steering wheel and column with the small diameter spline.

FYI, the EPC lists this wheel as applicable for, up to and including; 116024... 102452, 116033... 074163, 116036... 003669.

Steering wheel of part number A1234600203 is the large diameter splined unit fitted to all succeeding chassis numbers pertaining to the series. As is evident by this part number, the W123 introduced this later standard.

BTW, that cost of freight is quite reasonable indeed, SELfor50.

Don't stress, that other 280 i mentioned a little while back, I am getting it afterall..  only thing is the lad's wanna take it on a Carmageddon.
Pretty sure it's FI, so.... as long as it lasts the day (or at least longer than the other cars) then it'll be fine.. and I have every confidence.
Just gotta be able to salvage it.  I'll keep you posted.  It's costing me a case of beer and a towe.

HAhah... true.  Can't resist.  When it rains it pours. :D

It was $110 per pallet!  1.2m x 1.2m x 1.8m high and 1000kg max per pallet.
Engine and Gearbox were split up on 2 pallets.
With insurance, total cost was $250 something for the 2 pallets.  Door to Door.
Only thing is you need a forklift or something that will get the pallets on the truck, otherwise they rape you for a truck with a tray lift.

I tell ya though - e-go.com.au purely on-line and cheapest freight i've ever seen!!  4 Pentas from QLD to Canberra door to door was $47 WITH Insurance!

Scope them for sure..

Advertisement over. :)

That's amazing.
I remember when my 17" rims for the racer came from Sydney (via different carrier), $100 for 600km on a pallet, the truckie rang 30 mins out and said I'd need a forklift.  Yeah right, for four rims??  Wish I was down in Capitown when the pallets arrive Cam, I'd soon help push those pallets off for ya.
Post Carmageddon, your place might begin to rival a few Perth backyards ;D
