All sucked out

My wife's ML320 returned from having it's Hail storm dents removed by a warehouse full of suckers.

I looked it over and could not find a single mark anywhere except for the left hand side trim pieces which have been ordered and the fact that they broke the high level tailight in attempting to remove it (also waiting for a new one).

I wouldn't have believed it was possible given the amount of damage which had been done.

Apparently the aluminium bonnet was very challenging to get right.

That's great Bill.  I imagine that the bonnet was more difficult due to aluminium stretching more than steel.

I didn't know they had aluminium bonnets.
That's great news on the repair though.  Whilst searching for options to replace the Territory that was traded in last week, apart from going through many ads for ML's, I miss the Ford and came across two used FPV Territorys which are turboed limited edition but hail damaged.  Still drool-worthy I'd happily drive one around with the dents but glad to hear these blemishes can be dealt with.  I always assumed decent hail damage would see a car written off after knowing a few people affected by similar storms to what you and melbourne had earlier in the year.

My 211 E320 had an aluminium bonnet as well.

Probably weight reduction as well as meeting the Euro pedestrian safety standards.

Terrie's don't have to meet those standards.
