6.9 engine on ebay

wat a hunk of junk, theres no way that thing has only done 55k miles, not to mention the instrument cluster in the photo isnt even out of a 116. I have allerted the seller of this.

That looks like the engine in my car did.
Surely it isn't worth that much in such questionable condition? Certainly, if they claim to be at all knowledgeable on the matter, they know that cluster is incorrect.

definitly a scam - but more fool them, in general, every day average morons dont buy 6.9's, mainly people who have a clue buy them. And they arent fooling anyone who has any clue

They've apparently altered the posting to remove the picture of the instrument cluster, or maybe I've gone blind. Take away a zero in the price and now we're talkin'.

ebay can be funny at times.
i suppose people are entitled to advertise at whatever price they want. sometimes you feel like dropping a reply (ala PB) and asking WTF they are thinking.
last time i did this someone got very irrate with me...one of my favourites is the use of the word 'rare'!

Right now in the US you can buy a complete, running 6.9, with a much better looking engine, for not much more than that asking price.  Amazing.

i dont know much about much, but looking at that photo,what a piece of junk.if it was in storage for 10 years and was a high speed test engine,it must have looked like that in the car.which also must have looked like scrap.
why they didnt put some of the other items on ebay as well, i dont know.
