I was told by a so called expert that the Boot lid from a sedan was a different part number and would not fit a coupe?
Well they were part right, they are different part number but the actual difference is the the coupe 280CE badge needs one extra hole for the four pins on the back of the badge where as the 280E/230E/300D badges only need 3 holes.

The interior is in good order

Yep, quite right. I have just been through the exact same exercise. You have the same problem with the rear interior door panels coming apart at the seat belt extension ? I am just in the process of trying to refit them.

Nice one rd,
I once really wanted one of these. Good ones are hard to find. I like the burr walnut too.

The damage to the old boot lid looks painful, it's good to see a straight panel on there... Is the whole car getting a respray, or is the rest of the panel/paintwork in good order?

The interior does look nice. :)

hey Craig I prefer your colour scheme to the one I have, looks magic! the alloys are the go.

Tim the car has damage to the LF fender, rust in one wheel well and the drivers door check strap was broken allowing the door to over extend and kink the panel, It's a shame cause the paint is really good. I will take it to a paint shop and see if the can spray to the trim lines and match as best they can.

D'day Nathan, I also have had a secret lusting over one of these for years, so when the opportunity presented itself, bingo.

Cheers from the Far East

OMG, he just can't help himself can he?

Here is a pic of Rob a few years back in the same shed.  The conversation went something like; "You know Carl, too many projects on the run, time to have a clean out."

Hahahahahahaha :)
