hi guys!

my fellow MB owner has fuel flooding in his 1991 500SE, is it the fuel pressure regulator is the culprit? How to diagnose this problem?

TJ 450

It's an unusual problem... maybe there is a problem with the electronics leading to full enrichment, or a faulty cold start valve stuck in the open position.

This will take some systematic troubleshooting to fix.

w126 right ?

if so, thats still KEjet and the first thing i'd be looking at is the fuel distributor and air metering flap for correct operation.

yes sir W126 with BOSCH KE Jetronic, he claims that it was the last import from Japan, then he bought it cheap (about 1500 US dollars) and shipped from Japan, what makes it expensive are the taxes imposed on these here (about 200-300% depending on the car). He said that he changed the fuel dizzy last year, I have to ask him if the problem occurred after the switch, he didn't changed all 8 injectors.
