Ok,
i brought my usb to work with todays pics on it so i may as well do some constructive work even thuogh Bill has already begun the posting on the existing long thread.
here are some shots from my camera. if you are ever driving beside me when i am at the wheel and holding a camera, know that i can indeed only focus on one thing at a time!
as Bill has indicated, a great turnout on a great 30 degree day. we started in town, drove on the freeway (who spotted the busted/stolen 280se on the freeway emergency lane by the way? - i know Bill and AMG 69 did!) and then down the coast for a lunch at Fremantle.
Great to meet two new forum members who will hopefully pipe up! we had a 9th participant, but he left after he put the for sale sign up on TJ450s white sel. i think we should now call you TJ69 Tim.
i have some nice rolling mpegs but am not yet adequate in the art of youtubing.
regards
nathan

Hi Nathan,

What a fleet... Great pics mate!!! 8)
great pictures!
Who ever said there are no 116's in perth, thats an astonishing turn out.
You guys are so cool. I'm moving to Perth ;D ;D
What a turn out and a top looking day too. I'm picky about aftermarket wheels but I love those ones on the red 6.9. 8) 8) and WGB's looks fantastic as always but especially that pose. That silver looks fantastic.
Very impressive parade I must say. Really a shame I couldn't join you guys! It is a little bit too far I'm afraid...
My compliments to all you OZ-w116 enthusiasts! Would be nice to organise something alike here in Sweden or maybe even for Scandinavia. What do you think Niclas?
All the best!
Arman
That day was fantastic, to see how you all look after your 116s is inspiring, so looking looking forward to the next showing ;D
I hope to have the model number for the steering wheel for you by the end of the week Chris, then you will never have to see that fuel gauge again ::)
Once again a fantastic big (Car) day out, thanks Nathan for the organizing and also to everyone who turned out
Jules
What a fine lot of 'Uberautos' :o and their valets. 8) I would love to see such a plethora of Stuttgart's finest lined up on the waterfront outside the distillery. I trust that once again the stunning 280SE's (with their undeniably all-round superior 110 powerplants ;D ) provided inspiration to our other less fortunate w116 brethren ;)
WHAT! no 280's :( What the heck is going on out there on the western edge........
there was a 280, the most unique 116 of all. my brothers 280sel!
Thank you for the update Nathan, As we're all aware ... the 'gathering' would truly have been less without it ;D your brother has restored my faith in the wild west once again. Did you get a photo of said 280SEL ?
here you go Gollum...

Thanks for the pics Nathan, it looks like you guys had fun. Mohican and the 280SEL always look terriffic.
That red 6.9 with the large wheels - what colour is that? Its some sort of metallic - is it Inca red?
Oh and thanks for the youtube - most enjoyable.
HA! A star is born. Great video Nathan 8) 8)
1:30 in, I swear it looked like either WGB or AMG69 gave you the "bird" as they powered past. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. If it was I'm sure we would've seen a Days of Thunder pursuit. :D

I own up - it was me with AMG69 driving - but if you look carefully I have a small camera and was taking a picture of Nathan.
Great Youtube video Nathan - thanks for all the hard work in putting it together.
Bill

Bill
I second that - the "old girl" was running "sweet" ..!! It was a great day - thanks Nathan! I really need to "join the 6.9 club: again! Has anyone mentioned the red 6.9 has 275/40 17's on the back???? Like a bloody F1 car!!! It looked awesome!!!
I'm off to Adelaide in two weeks - hmm must check out the green "AMG"d 6.9 while I'm theer Nathan!
