2008 MBCSA northern regions year-end function
« on: 01 December 2008, 08:23 AM »

This sunday, our local region of the MB club held their anual year-end prize giving an luncheon.

There was this nice 170S to be admired :

This year the focus was a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the W115/4 - so examples of those two series predominated.

There was the usual selection of 107's and 129's.  First time I've seen pentas in the metal.... nice.

Trusty rusty was the only representative of the W116 series.

I automatically assumed your red one had pentas.  I had to go back to see it had bundts.  But no doubt you want pentas now Grin

Some nice cars there sclass. I was only searching for some cheap w114's or a 250C/E for the basis of a track car and surprisingly couldn't find any, ie sub $1k.  I was amazed how many good ones there are around.  That 170S is remarkable!

those are some nice 114s.ung classic
as most old merc sedans in the younger classic range typically go, they arent worth squat here in oz and are usually trashed.  you very rarely even see rusted bangers any more but i imagine in africa, there are some more prized examples left.
saying that, if anyone want a pretty good example here in oz at a extortionist price, please let me know...i want my dad to get rid of his 250...he has s-class-itis ie far too many cars for one old man to drive!
