Thanks fellas 8)  At 5000 rumor has it the Classic Centre will send out a "5000 POSTS" grille badge   ;D

Funny thing is I not long ago just noticed myself that I was 16 over the 4k.  LiaMerc's thread of the supercharged Rolls asks about similar treatement of any 6.9's and whilst I can't think of any thru the bonnet supercharged 6.9's I was thinking about a bluish greenish slammed 6.9 with full interior makeover that looked pretty cool.  Be buggered if I could find it but I know I posted pics.  So I went searching for an hour to no avail then thru my old posts starting from scratch.  Geez 4016 posts, 315 pages worth :o I went backwards and got to about 309 then quit.

Anyway, it's 40 mins into xmas and still no santa, I'm sick of waiting up.  ;D  If anyone knows of that 6.9 do tell.  It had big rims and air suspension, light metallic bluish green duco, light cream or white interior with aluminium looking parts replacing wood trim and recaro seats.  RHD too.

Congratulations Oscar.

Those 4000 posts contained a lot of meaningful input as well.

Well done oscar!

At 5000 you get "A Leader of the Pack Badge" and CD, and get to lead the procession.

Oscar I know the car you're talking about.  I saved the pics but it will take me a while to find them.

Aha! You legend!  That's the one. 8) 8) 8)

Thanks to you I checked the properties of the pics and found the rest though I'm not so sure about it being a 6.9 anymore.  Looks like an SE for starters but I haven't found anymore info on it.

There's 12 pics of the car in total, plus some other interesting w116 photos that we've seen over the years including a sole pic of a cabriolet, a photochopped coupe and I'm guessing one of Nutz's distant mods, the vinyl top one with the scoop in the bonnet.  I've wanted to do something similar to the track car so it's good to see an example.

All the pics and the rest of the above low rider are from here - 500SEC.com

whats with the front bumper in that last one ?

It looks like a bumper skin was pulled off some local car and tacked on there with pop rivets.

It does seem an oportune time to say thankyou to Oscar..... and Koan from another post and for that matter Bill and Patrick and S class....... and all the high scorers. Any number of people have made any number of useful posts (thanks to those too), who knows I might have even said something useful, but any of these forums only work long term if there is this hardcore backbone that field most of the posts and either have the knowledge or direct it the way of those that do. So thanks for that because without it it seems pretty easy for any number of these forums that start with good intentions to just fade away.
