Oil pressure drop

Ok, so a while back I was driving the 6.9 and went to use the kickdown at low speed. However, it didn't work. ???

Who knows why, but I noticed in that short period where my foot was flat to the floor that the oil pressure dropped briefly by about 1 BAR on the gauge.

I'm wondering what would cause this, and should I be concerned? The engine wasn't pinging when this occured though and I'm pretty sure everything is OK.

As I said before, I'm not driving the car any great distance until I either get the UT WUR, or a rebuilt one and a full service of the CIS... the engine has already endured its fair share of pinging/detonation, to my horror. 8)

Hi TJ 450,

let me know who you find to service the CIS as i am planning this soon as well and at this stage it looks like Stuttgart Motors in Burswood Perth are getting the job.

From what I have heard, there are really only two options. Klaus and Stuttgart.

There are a few unfavourable opinions on the Starshop, which may or may not be justified. One of those opinions just happens to be retained by myself. ;)
