Now do it on dry pavement ;)
Still no problem, the 450 is powerful ;)
Hi Bulba,
I second Michel's comment... very unlikely on dry pavement, although a 6.9 has a good chance if it's running correctly. ;)
Would I be correct in assuming that your fuel injection system is now A1? ;)
ive done it on dry pavement before, it works but it sounds wierd as hell. Not really, it still has no idling, and it only runs on 6-7 cylinders.
Nice going bulba ;D
For what it's worth, on Friday night when I left work I managed to plant a decent 11 on our workshop's floor in the 350. Dry concrete, a little bit scuffed, not smooth shiny concrete. Admittedly, it wont do it on bitumen roads unless wet.
I just had to look this old thread up. Today i did a set of 2 looong burnout marks with 4 ppl in the car and on completley dry pavement, just plain asphalt, absolutely no problem =) i will do a video later, maybe in this weekend on the car cruising =)
It must be running well to do that. Nice work!
Tim

You must've pulled the turbo off one of those volvo's you got and put it on the M117! for you to do burnouts like that, with 4 people in the car, on dry concrete!! I reckon you've tipped a bucket of water under the wheels (or oil) to get it started?! ::)
UNLESS, you've removed the A/C, Cruise Control, Ripped out the entire interior, CIG Locked the Diff.. Cause my track beast was only able to do static burnouts (properly) after lightening it by about 2-300kg's.
However, keep them videos coming!!! 8)
Haha no nothing on the tires and nothing removed from the car ;) Completly stock, yes i will make some more videos :D
Can I get my 240D to do that? ;D

Sorry to have wasted your time. ::)

You'll have to try it out and tell us Hemmersam. There's a few youtube vids of MB turbo diesels with surprising power. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixERCJfGyeY&feature=related
Hey Bulba, I saw one of your videos of the exhaust sound which has a nice growl 8) and you say to remove the middle muffler. Did you notice power improve when you did that?
Oscar: the only way I could "burn out" with my 240D is to put the rear end up on jacks. ;D
Hemersam
whats the diff ratio in your 240d? is must be super high.
on the gwagens with the 240 engine, they had a 5.6 rear diff ratio (cf the m110s 4.9)...if you put a 5L engine, in yuour diesel, you could pull 5 second 100kmh dashes!!

Thank you =) doesent sound as good when you drive it though, the exhaust is too small for just one muffler ^^ but im gonna build a 2½ inch or something later =) And no not as i can think of, but on the other hand the car ran so poorly when i did it, and has done for the past 8months or something, barely remembers how it ran before^^
And for those diesels, they have finnish MYNÄ-diesel pumps, makes them real powerful:D
check this video out, w123 300D with mynä-pump and bigger turbo, real beast ;) http://www.garaget.org/video/8z57ea9qtrcw (//http://) (noticed now it wont link so you have to copy and paste)

You could always cheat - 2 small puddles of engine oil conveniently placed infront of each rear wheel is a good starting point ::)

Never mind the fact that the engine will be running at 9000 RPMS in top gear at 60km/h ;)
