Canberra 450sel with chev 454

Hi this is one for the Canberra guys when i was living in Canberra Pulford race engines owner in Mitchel was driving around in a 450sel fitted with a 454 big block chev does anybody know if this car is still going around Canberra it was at the Summernats last time i went in 2005 looked to be very neat install and fun

I know Mr pulford has his brother's old 450SE, but it still has an M117 K-jet engine in it - and apparently M116 heads.  Goes pretty sweet apparenly.

He's been off crook and has only just returned to work recently at the shop.  I spoke to him at the 'nats and have been meaning to go past and see if he's keen to do my project work on my 6.9 here.  He's well known for quality.  Thing is though, everytime I talk to him about it, we've both had a few schooners and he says come talk to me when we're both a little more sober.  Hasn't happened yet..

However, I will ask him about the 454 Chev in the SEL.  I do know there's another bloke in Canberra who does those Chev conversions all the time.  He's the fella with the SLC that is tubbed with the big block.

Yeah i was just wondering i remember that car and used to see it around town from time to time it looked quiet nice at the time over the last few years have toyed with the big block idea but just couldnt bring myself to do that to a real 6.9 now if i bought a 280s or something then it would be different i still have the 460 lima big block from my old galaxie in my garage.
