once apon a time fuel was dirt cheap.
Impossible, I don't believe you
Actually, my earliest recollection of the price of petrol, I do remeber many moons ago when I was much younger noticing a sign at a servo' in Sydney saying 26c a litre. I can't remember the year but I wonder how the price compared with average wages then and how the $1+ whatever the price is now compares to today's avg wage.
In any case, $60k, I'm going to add that is
roughly seasonally adjusted.

I could see if we can get some new boot badges made - something like 1.6 VVTI TD GX Hybrid. Would that score greenie points?
I just need a sign on the boot similar to one I saw at a coal fired power station which they have near a highway in clear view of their cooling towers to appease the greens . It says something like
"It's water vapour, not pollution".
