has anyone in here installed the unwiredtool conversion kit replacing the ac/heat servo? I'm sick and tired of fighting with my servo unit.

w116mbz, I have read about it and studied the instrucions for the installation and it looks a little more complicated than I thought. Personally, I did not like the fact that you have to cut into some of the original wiring so I ended up buying an aluminum servo from George Murphy and so far so good.

It is a matter of choice however and in principle the unwiredtool system seems like a good idea, your call I guess.

I've istalled the UT ACCII upgrade kit.
It works great, took only about 2 hours of work at the most, even for a laymen.
The job is pretty straight forward and the installation manual is easy to understand.
If you do get stuck, the helpdesk will get you all the way.
The kit is made for US specs w116, I've got a EU version obviously and as it turned out the wiring i slightly different. With the helpdesk I got the systen running and I am more than satisfied with the end result.

Have a look at these two links hemersam.

The pdf manual seems to have all the info and the UTC guy has posted on the org before and offered some advice, just can't remember his id.

For all you Mmericans out there, I can get those at a pretty decent discount. I can also get the rebuilt servo at a pretty decent price also.
I have the aluminum acc servo in my canada spec 6.9 and it will works well. A buddy of mine here in Dallas has just ordered a UTCIS servo for his 6.9.

I've seen these, the set up looks pretty straightforward.
