hi..

long time no see... but my old girl is still going.. until about 2 weeks ago, when i lost all compression on cylinder 1, so i have removed the head to find the intake valve not closing provably (i have yet to remove valve, to see if bent etc, or just carbon build up).. but i need some part numbers as i cannot get onto EPC..

I need the injector plastic sleeves, and seals part no..?
I might need offset woodruff keys, but will know  more latter..dose any one have a supplier details?

I will get a full head gasket set including valve seals, as started to burn oil.

also any other advice is always helpful...

many thanks

The stud is N000835008065. The nut is A0009903250, but both of these you can get from specialised shops or Wurth.

Don't worry about part numbers just email shaun.zealey@mercedes.co.uk (Mercedes-Benz of Poole not that far from you) with what you want. Not the cheapest - MB standard prices and there are cheaper when you can find them but I find it too much trouble and with MB Poole they are genuine and guaranteed.

I did do compression tests... etc... :)

I would get both the heads reconditioned fully as a matter of course when you've gone in this far. The valve guides are often worn out, even at low mileages.

Exhaust studs and the like are best left to a machine shop to remove.

That's true. Gave up after breaking several studs so took the heads to a local shop. They simply welded bolts to the stud ends even those that were in the surface and got them out with no problem as the heat helps free them. Difficult to keep a drill bit centre and once it drifts you've got even more problems. Took the opportunity to have the heads skimmed and valves re-seated did the guides and seals myself.

I got it out... I used a brand new drill bit.. and my pillar drill.. built a jig to keep head in right place and took it slowly.. then used a ez-out. ... now to cut in new valve... and get new valve seals... slowly getting there...
