transmission rod

I was offered 116 260 0733, transmission rod.
I can only find this to fit 350SEL. Is that even possible?
Should it not fit  -at least- all non 6.9's?

Also, what is the difference between 116 270 1184 and 116 270 1284? Is that a VIN-thing?

A1162600733 can only be fitted to the 350 SE(L) and the 450 SE(L). This probably has to do with the length of the engine (4 in a row vs 6 in a row) , which pushes the transmission forward and alters the length between the selector and transmission selector (this makes sense in my head, don't know if it's true though). The v8's also use the 722.0 transmission while the 6 cylinders use the 722.1 transmission, so that could also explain the difference.

Can't find A1162701284 in EPC, are you sure this is the correct number?

yes it is..but I also can't find it.

Just bumped into another one: 116 540 0049. A cable loom, I thjink. Would love to find out what part that is..

A1165400049 is a gearshift indicator for cars with a column shifter. Can't help you with A1162701284, maybe somebody else can find it.
