Title: transmission not so smooth
Post by: jjb-w116-hu on 31 May 2011, 10:36 PM
intermittently my transmission seems to be quite jerky, ie slowing at an off ramp on the freeway and then accelerating around the corner, it clunks/jolts quite hard as it drops a gear? or starts to pull away again - what should one check? or does this sound like something else?

thanks, JJB

Ive got the same issue and I havent gotten around to messing with it yet. Go into the post transmission flaring sometimes. Theres a great start there. These transmissions are quirky and sometimes require adjustment. Have you checked the vac lines on the modulator and on top of the ip?

Is the drive train in order ? Sorry if I translate rather badly into English, but replacing an axle ( one of the small ones between the diff and the rear wheel ) has made gear changing go a lot smoother.
