Depending on what you are looking for the Mb classic center is pretty good.

I concur, excellent service from the MB Classic Centre. If you are a member of the M100 club you get 15% discount as well. They only ship FedEx which can be pricey but it is super fast. I can sometimes get a part delivered to my door the very next day, remarkable.

To me, eBay is now officially the very worst possible place to buy New Original W116 parts.
Just went through EVERY -New Original- W116 listing and found not a SINGLE part was cheaper than my own, regular sources.
Shocker!

I also did a comparison with used Original MB parts (over 150usd) and found not a single item cheaper than simply bought new.
That was even a bigger shocker.
Perfectly refurbished, second hand seat spring units are 75 usd more expensive than new ones from MB at Maff.ro!

eBay can only be a solution where NLA parts are concerned, or where used parts in a dodgy state are concerned.
Personally, I have no need for dodgy parts, and NLA is a word too often used for parts that STILL have sources, either from MB or via forums or independent websites.

On top of that I find that many aftermarket brands like Febi, Lemfoerder etc are offered well above reasonable price levels on eBay.
Dig, compare, and thou shall find!

Little update regarding maff.ro. They had to adjust their pricing upwards. The online database's pricing is no longer current.

In the meantime, I can advise silverstarspares.com.au for NOS parts. Excellent pricing for most items.

This as well.

The MB Classic Center is a breath of fresh air. When you call, you talk to a real human sitting in front of EPC Net who know's the cars. They look it up for you and check the warehouses in the US and Germany if need be. The one time they forgot to ship something for me and someone called me and told me they are going to overnight it for free as a sorry. They are used to servicing clients with very high dollar cars and won't treat you different when you tell them they have a 116.

I just got a pair of brand new headlight wiper ares and blades complete, from the main dealer, for £34 per side.. I thought that was pretty reasonable. I got new rubbers for the windscreen wipers for £10 for the pair, they even had them in stock in the local dealership!

Revived yet again..

A good supplier: Bruno Wenner in Versmold, Germany. Tons of NOS stuff at affordable pricing. Also lots of used parts.

Another one: Precisionparts.com, USA Good service, good pricing as well. I think it's NOS only there.

Just adding posts from "Good vendors sticky?"
Would it be easier to make this one a "Sticky"?

daantjie:
www.belmetric.com

These guys have a huge inventory of all types of metric fasteners, hoses, washers etc.  Great service and good prices.  Mostly for guys in the US and Canada though, they ship USPS to Canada so that is always nice for me at least.  Some vendors insist on using UPS and FedEx and their brokerage fees are flat out outrageous >:(

Peter:
the two vendors I rely on are MB Spares in Canberra and Pelican Parts in the USA, both have good prices and service. Also Mercedessource deserves a mention, great product, tools and advice.

Ptashek:
For OEM stuff my favourites in Europe are Sandown Mercedes in Poole, UK and Autohaus Dröge in Germany.

For consumables I tend to go to rexbo.eu, they usually have all the parts in stock, ready to ship. Surprisingly enough, Amazon.de is a good source too!

When I'm in the US and need something, autohausaz.com in Arizona is very reliable, and have good stock as well. Much cheaper than anyone in Europe as wel

Great source for pretty much any o ring you can think of, Viton, Buna etc. and even Teflon, in metric sizes too:
