Retro fitting ABS

Does anyone know if ABS can be retrofitted? I have a '78 280se, and would like to look into fitting ABS. I know it was an option on latter w116's with V8 engines. If it can be retrofitted, what is required?

Apart the obvious differences in brake piping and the need for the abs unit, the front hub carriers are different (have wheel speed sensors) and the diff is different.
