Do any of the bolts on those parts have to be torqued and if so what are the specifications? Thanks

s class

Yes, there are specific torques for all the nuts.  The values are given in the on-line library here on this site.  Link

Thanks for everyone's help. I replaced everything and luckily was able to use the fork to get the tie rod off. Whole job took about an hour and a half.

GF,

For a "paid service", I would consider that quite reasonable, given the amount of work done.

That's better. $800 for tie rods is insane.

As another point of reference on costs, here's what I just had done last week on my '77 280SE at an independent Benz specialist shop here in Monterey, California:

REPLACED both lower ball joints
REPLACED both tie rod assemblies
REPLACED drag link
REPLACED steering damper
REPLACED steering coupler
CLEANED wheel bearings
PLUS an alignment

TOTAL PARTS:   $521.
TOTAL LABOR: $1004.
