I got the car running again, but I did need to buy (and wait for the parts to come in) for a new rotor, new distributor cap for the car, and I did need to clean the points up a bit that was the main problem with it not wanting to start up again, its still not running so great the car brakes up in the higher RPM's, new wires and points tomorrow I hope.

does anyone know a good source to find headers for the M110 engine's if any ? and if there not to much money.

if not what exhaust manifold can I use that would work with my engine ?? im not trying to make it into a race car but I would love to get that 35 year old catalytic converter off the side of the engine.

Good to hear you got the car running again.  I got the impression you'd done something major and lost compression on all cylinders.

Anyway, about the exhaust.  I'm not sure where you could get stuff off the shelf but you can go to wreckers to get manifolds off any non cat m110 powered car.  There's a few configurations too but I reckon the best are ones from a w123 and maybe they're on w126s too.  Just have to plug any EGR type connections if there are any and if you don't need them.

If you take the cat off you'll be left with this, which a plate could be machined as an adapter to fit two pipes down to the rest of the system.  Though one wonders if a turbo could be mounted there instead ;D - Or -  take a look at this post from sclass in this thread Link.  It shows a typical RHD early m110 arrangement then the third pic shows the the w123 style arrangement also shown below.  That's what you should look out for I reckon.

Its a holley 4 barrel carb, I dont know anymore about it yet other than it loves to drink fuel, It burned 5.2  gallons of gas in about 35-40 miles :'(
and thats with me trying to keep the secondaries from sparying at all !!!

Looking at your existing carb & exhaust setup >:(......you will get some huge benefits from changing them, that cat exhaust system looks terrible from a flow point of view,so yeah find a set like the ones shown, Ive always wondered if an aftermarket set of ford 6 extractors could be adapted,or sim.
Theres photos of amg m110 cast manifolds around on the web too.
Id biff that Holley made in taiwan peice of crap as far as i could, they just drink fuel like crazy..theyre as sophisticated as a monkey pouring fuel down the manifold from a bucket. The orig carb would have much better all round driveability
Get a 38dgas weber setup as you'll never find a good 4A1 orig solex without warped bases etc.
A complete D jetronic setup from a donor m110 would be the go as this setup produced 185hp compared to 156-60 carb .
