350SE poor vacumn

Still hav only 8" of vac at idle. Have checked timing chain-- it has 8deg. of stretch so I guess this is OK for a little longer. Any comments?  Seem to have solved rich mix problem, it vas a small vac switch on the bulkhead with a faulty diaphram. Disconnected it and computer no longer switches to rich above 30mph. This is an early model SE.  Any comment?

Retarded ignition timing affects idle vacuum. If you have a timing light adjust the timing to the correct figure following whatever instructions are given regarding connecting and/or disconnecting vacuum lines.
