W116 lighter

Can anyone tell me which is the correct lighter for the W116?
Are there different part numbers?

000-825-07-51 is what the correct part number is for a W116 cigar lighter.  Essentially, the second picture.  The first one is for W108/W109 (late), R113,(late)  W114/W115, W100 (late) and I think early R107.

interesting.. I was told the opposite..
The shiny one was supposed to be the best for w116, and the second photo a cheaper w116 option
How to make sure.

Maybe more importantly.. for originality and resale purpose...which lighter would be best?

I have never seen the first one on a W116.

The second one is correct.

I echo what Guillaume C says.  If you are doubting what we're saying, have a look at some original factory photos, or reverse search the part number on EPC.  You'll find that the early lighters do not apply to W116 chassis.  Furthermore, if you used the early style I'm not so sure that the ash tray would even close.  It looks like the early one would be too big......but I haven't confirmed that.

A quick revival of this one, seeing that the same topic is alive again on the "Diary of a Layman" as well, and that one is about the actual ashtrays.
This one is more about the lighters.

The photos above clearly show 2 types.
Well discussed..
Model 1: A large knob with ribs on the side, chrome version, and a slim, smooth-edged one.
Clearly not W116, and it won't fit the ashtray properly. Bought it in the MB bag under number 1158250153

Model 2:(in the photo above) W116, as discussed, number 0008250751

I have a third model in stock here, which is the second, slim one, but with ribs on the side of the knob. (see photo underneath)
It came in the MB bag with number 1158250153 -as well, yet looks 90% identical to model 2.
Not only does it fit the W116 perfectly, but it would be a massive change for anyone owning a W108.
Is there a logic here?
I do think it's possible one of my vendors swapped MB bags/numbers, to ensure a quicker sale.

Last time this was discussed, several people confirmed that Model 2 was the right W116 lighter,  0008250751
However, if I run searches for that number, I get only photos of model 3, WITH ribs.
No trace of the smooth-edged model 2.
