Steering wheel cover

I've never really liked the thinness of the steering wheel in the W116 and mine was starting to dry out on top of it.  I could have gotten a new wheel but for the money it would cost it is off my priority list of fixes.  Besides, a new wheel would still be on the thin side.  So...I stitched on a cover made by Wheelskins.  I love the way it turned out and I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a chance.  It's leather and feels like quality.

Anyone else tried one?  I highly recommend.

The absolute first thing I added to El Rey Cant imagine a wheel without one. I've had mine for several years and it looks and feels the same if not better  than the day I stitched it on.

Here is a photo (link) of a wheelskin on my 280SE. The stitching makes it nice... :-*

Very nice!  Good job on the install.  Only had my phone camera with me so the photos are blurry but thought I'd share mine.

Incidentally, I can tell the PO of my car was a left-handed driver.  The finger bumps at the 11:00 position are worn flatter than the rest.  It's not because of an ill-fitting cover.
