Title: Spotted in Wyalkatchem...
Post by: TJ 450 on 14 September 2008, 08:08 AM
A W116 with Penta style alloy wheels, with one bolt missing on the rear by the look of things. Oscar, it seems there's a clone of your wrecked 280SE. 8)

TJ that's just freaky. "I can see dead w116's"  :o  If it was an old photo I'd say it's the same car.

You do know mine spent time in Perth before becoming a Victorian, before I bought it?  There was a Subiaco windscreen sticker on the windscreen and some mechanical receipts under carpets and other incriminating documents like a PO's bank statement.  Most got water damaged and thrown out whilst I was wrecking it but I'm sure I've mentioned it.

Anyway, it's like seeing a ghost coming to haunt me :o  It's the last time I wreck a w116 ::)

Tim, you made me laugh - I was up there six months ago on a matter I'm running with and saw that same car as I drove through the town and thought "bugger, I dont have a camera - oh well...".  Well ;D done!

That's amusing, AMG69. There was also a chassis minus wheels on bricks there too, A-Z Automotive I think the place was called.
Yes, I remember you said that, about your wrecked 280SE. You wouldn't think it would be likely to see two cars with the same combination of variables like that, from WA. I mean, you don't often see Penta's on W116's, let alone 280SE's in that colour.
