sill paint color.gloss or matt?

can anyone tell me if the sills below the doors on my 6.9 should be gloss black or matt black?

you've had just about every variant of black on your 450 sils, even mismatched from side to side

That's correct, Koan.

My 6.9 still has the original finish on the sills, except where I did a temporary repair with gloss black, and another one in matt.

The stone guard has the ripples, which is painted body colour and then coated in satin black.

Yep, the 450's sills have seen their fair share of paint, that's for sure. They were far from original when I got the car, too.

Thanks everyone, gave the sills a couple of coats of satin black today. Looks great a lot better than the faded paint that was there beforehand.
